Facilities
Convenient to import/export needs in Savannah, Georgia, LTI has two warehouses located in close proximity to the Savannah Ports. Our first facility is located at 2500 Louisville Road. Occupying 22 acres of land, the warehouse is completely secure, fully fenced with an electrically operated gate system offering two drive-through loading/unloading bays and 255,000 square feet of inside storage space with front and rear dock doors equipped with automatic dock levelers. The entire warehouse is covered by a dry sprinkler system and security system. Our second warehouse is located on Seaboard Coastline Drive consisting of 100,000 square feet of inside storage space sitting on 10 acres of land. Both locations offer expansive outside concrete storage areas.
Equipment
Inside rail sighting on the Norfolk Southern Line makes LTI facilities desirable for import/export rail freight. For maximum efficiency the warehouse on Louisville Road is fully equipped with a 20-ton and 10-ton remote controlled overhead crane system spanning across a 90-foot wide bay, 900 feet long and placed at a 38-foot hook height for capability of handling heavy cargo and maximum utilization of storage space. Each crane has various attachments for handling a wide variety of cargo. LTI operates a fleet of forklifts varying in size from 30,000 pound capacity to 12,000 pound capacity. Our forklifts are capable of handling heavy cargo as well as container striping and stuffing.
Bulk Services
From steel products to various construction materials, LTI offers over-side delivery from Ocean Vessels to our warehouses. LTI can sort/segregate and store material for in-transit delivery to the customers. Both short and long-term storage is also available. Re-packaging, banding, palletizing and tagging are among some of the services we provide.
Containers
LTI offers full service for your import/export container freight needs. Local draying of containers to our warehouses including stripping, stuffing, trans-loading & storage of cargo or delivery can be made direct to customers from the port.
Trucking
Lumber Transport can meet your local, regional or national distribution needs with our fleet of fully equipped flatbeds and vans.
Inventory Control
Inbound receiving reports, bill of ladings and month-end inventory as well as password protected on-line inventory at your fingertips are some of the services our inventory tracking system provides to our customers via e-mail or fax.
